Carol’s practice focuses on business, real estate transactions, corporate, nonprofit and business law. Carol began her legal career in 1971 in New York and also practiced law for 25 years in Texas before joining Fenton & Keller. As associate general counsel for a major publicly held corporation, Carol advised management concerning all types of transactions, including complex securities matters, contracts with suppliers and customers, sales of assets, franchisee incorporations, outsourcing, and compliance with federal regulatory requirements. She developed executive compensation strategies and advised on ERISA and employee-benefit matters. She has handled all aspects of shareholder relations, sensitive issues concerning stock transactions, insider trading and disclosure responsibilities.
