JOHN S. BRIDGES

In his more than 30 years of practice, John has guided many clients through the complex environmental review and permit approval processes for development projects ranging from major subdivisions, resorts, mixed-use commercial centers and industrial operations to single-family residences. John has considerable expertise in all aspects of planning, zoning, subdivision, and CEQA law. He also has extensive experience with the myriad coastal viewshed, biological/habitat, historic resource, archaeological, water resource, private view, property boundary and easement issues critical to land use matters on the Central Coast. John is familiar with the regulations and procedures of the many local, regional and state agencies including the California Coastal Commission that regulate development in the Monterey Bay region and has developed professional relationships with agency staff and decision makers. John applies strategic thinking to every project and understands the role of politics and, when necessary litigation, in the land use approval process. John regularly collaborates with other experts, including architects, engineers, biologists, hydrologists and other environmental consultants and has mediated real property and land use disputes. John’s clients include both individuals and businesses including those involved in agricultural, commercial and industrial activities.
